The most gorgeous lil lovely cuddly happy baby...!
Why do they have to grow so fast? Wonder when we will get to see this stunning beauty from downunder. She is a remarkable creation of God. I mean, all babies are but Makensie is exceptional to us. We may be miles apart but not a day goes by without feeling her presence in our hearts.

Jess & Mike, thanks for the lovely photos that you both have been sending. If possible, email me some new shots.

Makensie Alyssa Olsen, we love you heaps!
err... fine, we love u too Jess & Mike :)

The many faces of Makensie and in the loving arms of daddy (Mike)

Constructive Debates
I have always enjoyed parliamentary debates. In fact, come to think of it, I also enjoy engaging in heated but constructive discussions. However, this is only possible if the parties involved mutually respect each other`s view(s) and argue for the sake of a specific cause and not otherwise. It is mandatory to be knowledgeable on the subject matter. Above all, keep your emotions in-check at all times. In such discussions, neither is there room for one`s personal agenda nor a way to measure victory or defeat.

Some score well in these debates. A selected few will try to make their presence felt by uttering neutral words here and there, making no difference to the discussion. And there will also be futile attempts by others who will present invalid, irrelevant or unsolicited comments. It is pointless trying to appear attentive or intelligent if you are not able to comprehend the meaning of a constructive debate. The point that I wish to make is, before you utter anything, try to anticipate the implication of your statement(s). The word to note is `try`. If you cannot try, then be careful. If you cannot be careful, then shut up!

On a different note, today`s my lecturing debut at IACT! To my dear Public Relations and Cross Cultural Studies students, here is wishing all of you a warm welcome to my domain of interest. During the course of your study, you might drive into dead ends or encounter other difficulties. If you are caught in such a situation, please do not hesitate to contact me.

This is going to be a great semester. I can literally feel it in my bones! Hahaha really lah.

Best wishes and enjoy.

Mission Jolly May : ABORTED
Spent the whole month of April studying and preparing for my MSc proposal presentation. The exams went okay but I got gunned-down during the presentation. Apparently my proposal on pictorial semiotics is too advanced for a masters level student. The panel of UPM professors advised me to narrow my research scope and to 'quantify' the proposed framework from its present qualitative state. Modifying is going to be quite a challenge and dreadfully time consuming. It is much easier to start afresh than to edit an existing paper. There goes my month of May and the mega social plans that I have been looking forward to *sigh*

I have a photography assignment this weekend in Sitiawan; a Malay wedding ceremony. The following weekend I will be in Malacca for an annual religious function. And the last weekend of May will be dedicated to household chores and attending an Odissi concert where Angela will be performing. Evidently, all May weekends are gone too!

And here is the climax of the story. I just signed a contract with IACT (a renown advertising & communications college) to lecture on a part-time basis for a month. In other words, I will be two-timing at Stamford KL and IACT. Once the Stamford semester ends, I will immediately assume permanent employment at IACT.

I have had a very interesting career path thus far. Migrating from the public relations industry to academia has been a pleasant change. My KDU debut was awesome; it authenticated my teaching/training interest and enhanced my ability to convert the complexities of industrial practice into digestible chunks for academic consumption. At KDU, my classes ranged from 12 students right up to a whopping 96! I enjoyed presenting at the lecture theatres.

Then came Stamford College, which unlike KDU, uses the conventional whiteboard teaching style. Initially, the orthodox classroom setting was not to my liking but I somehow managed to get used to it.

And now, IACT is in the pipeline. I see a perfect fit with this institution. It specializes in communication related disciplines and that by itself makes me feel right at home. Classes will commence next week and I am really looking forward to meeting my new students :)

So yeah, May has heaps in-store for me. Hopefully by June things will settle down a little. But as R constantly says, "things will always keep coming up". That cannot be denied, for sure.

Epitome of Stupidity
I'm absolutely disgusted by the behaviour of this certain individual. How can someone stoop so low? Despite being reprimanded for her asinine conduct, she continues to toy with filthy remnants of the past. It is utterly disrespectful and an expression of insensitivity to the situation.

To the significant few in my social sphere, it may be difficult to comprehend the logic of this request: disregard.

To the instigator, you are just another ostracized bitch.

And to the mess-maker, I only have room under my dusty soles to accommodate your insignificant existence.
